Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 266 Spoilers : Megumi finally returns as the battle with Sukuna reaches its climax.

Jujutsu Kaisen, yet again, is keeping audiences in a tizzy as the next chapter, no. 266, will make its way on 18th August at 7 am PT. Since the beginning, the continuous fight of Yuji Itadori against the King of Curses, Sukuna, keeps people on the edge of their seats because with every new chapter comes a lot of twists and new information. This time, in the chapter, Megumi Fushiguro is more proactive in this battle, ramping up the tension of a situation already very high.

Megumi’s Insight and Yuji’s Comprehension:

Leaks from a rather reliable JJK scooper, @Go_Jover, state that Chapter 266 focuses on Yuji, who, at the very beginning, listens to Megumi’s soul. Megumi said that he had seen a world where his sister, Tsumiki, would not have to bear such harsh, undeserving realities as in their current world. It was tough, but Megumi wanted to retain a fragile notion of normalcy for as long as he lived, and that Tsumiki would always be in his thoughts.

Megumi’s ideal was simple: to enjoy the mundane tasks in life, eating meals out of habit or watching sunlit laundry, things he and Tsumiki never got to embrace. He wanted to walk beside someone like Yuji, seeing off his sister with a sigh of relief and thinking, “Ah, I’m so happy.”

But with this ideal out of his grasp, Megumi learned to accept what he had. Yuji, feeling the depth of Megumi’s anguish, reflected on how people are often required to make harsh decisions when met with unavoidable facts. More than anything else, this dialogue reveals the connection between Yuji and Megumi. This in turn explains the emotional depth of their struggle against Sukuna.

**The Ongoing Battle: Sukuna’s Struggle and Yuji’s Resolve: **

Back in reality, things get intense as Sukuna opens his Hollow Wicker Basket against Yuji’s domain. However, with Satoru Gojo’s method, the resetting through the Reverse Cursed Technique with the exhausted Cursed Technique is still hard for Sukuna to execute. Performing such is pretty difficult, especially since the brain of Sukuna is still being affected by Gojo’s domain.

The narrator of the chapter explains that Hollow Wicker Basket and Simple Domain are relatively weaker than the actual domains. However, Sukuna is still able to match because he does not disperse the hand sign even after Hollow Wicker Basket has been activated.

The fight between Yuji and Sukuna continues when the King of Curses becomes angry at the prospect that he will be looked down on. He said that everyone will be punished through his wrath on Yuji.

The scene changes suddenly to Kid Megumi standing in the alley where he first met Gojo. Megumi asks Yuji the same question he once asked Gojo: “What’s with the face?” Yuji says that he would be sad and lonely without him.

This is really where the battle turns around, as Sukuna gets caught off guard when his leg falls into a shadow due to Megumi finally striking back. Of course, Sukuna had drowned Megumi’s soul earlier, but Yuji’s Dismantle revived it, and now he’s back in the fight. On Sukuna’s side, his Mahoraga and Ten Shadow Technique are useless because they were already destroyed.

Happy to have Megumi back in the fray, Yuji rains down a gigantic punch onto Sukuna’s face. Neither of them ever stops fighting. At the tail end of the battle, Sukuna realizes that his Reverse Cursed Technique cannot activate itself against Yuji’s Dismantle, and his Hollow Wicker Basket has no more fuel left.

The Final Twist:

Even in defeat, Sukuna never surrenders. Yuji then realizes Sukuna has used Gojo’s setting method of the Cursed Technique. As soon as the broken parts of the cursed tool in his hands scatter, Sukuna slaps through his gauntlet.

Just before Sukuna is about to open his domain, he is in for a shock: Yuji has no fingers on his left hand. This chapter closes with a mysterious scene of a finger somewhere bound, hinting that much mystery lies underneath.

Conclusion:

This week, chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen closes out, while next week will finally show the Shinjuku Battle reaching its climax. With Megumi’s return and Yuji’s unyielding resolve, Sukuna will not give up in defeat; all these things are going to combine for an epic conclusion to this prolonged, super-intense confrontation. Fans can only wait with bated breath as to how this battle is finally going to pan out.
